streetware saved item is a project by barbara caveng and alice fassina that aims to draw attention to the tons of textile waste that fast fasion industry produces, spits out onto the streets and damages the environment and economies all over the world. through collective social practice, the project collects, washes and re-instigates fashion from the streets back into social value cycles interrogating colonial and neoliberal injustice on the way. i had the pleasure of working in this project for a few months in 2021 and was invited to perform in ‘lumpen-peep-o-rama’ along Alice, barbara, Flora, Jan, KDindie, Nazanin und Oksana at Galerie Nord, Kunstverein Tiergarten on december 1st 2022
